It was the first time I had a professor who allow the students to decide the fate of their midterm. I agree with you that it was a fun exercise and to improve my grade. You are right, we should have divided the class in smaller groups, I think Richard did a great job but I don't think he had the responsability to make a decision to break us in smaller groups, since we were about 80 in class in that day. But one thing we learned is that decision making is not an esasy task.
